- Heat olive oil and saute minced garlic and onion for 2 minutes. Add thyme and green onions. Saute for another minute, add washed rice butter and all the seasonings, keep stirring for about 3 minutes, making sure the rice is well coated. Add the liquid , cover and cook for 20-25 minutes.
- Tip: I like to add a little bit of heat by adding ground scotch bonnet pepper. This rice is great for left overs to make fried rice the next day.
