  • 2 cups uncooked basmati rice washed
  • 3 ½ cups hot water or low sodium chicken broth)
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp all- purpose seasoning accent, garlic powder, onion powder
  • 2 tsp organic ground turmeric
  • Leaves from 4 sticks fresh thyme
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 small onion diced
  • ½ stick of butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Method
 

  1. IN stock pot add olive oil ¼ stick of butter, add onion and garlic, saute for 3 minutes, add the wash rice, all the dry seasonings, thyme leaves, and butter, stir well until fully combined, add the remaining ¼ stick of butter, the hot water or stock, stir well to combine cover and cook for 25 minutes.
