Island Honey Garlic Shrimp

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb. extra large or jumbo shrimp deveined, shell on or off
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 small onion finely diced
  • Pinch of ginger grated
  • 1 scotch bonnet peppers minced, seeds in or seedless
  • 1 tsp garlic powder onion powder, smoked paprika, white pepper, old bay seasoning, organic ground ginger, dried parsley
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp
  • 4 tbsp olive oil divided 3 n1
  • ½ stick butter unsalted
  • 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 1/8 cup white wine
  • 4 tbsp low sodium coconut aminos soy sauce is fine
  • 2 tbsp Mirren
  • 1/8 cup water
  • 4 tbsp honey
  • Juice of ½ lemon

Method
 

  1. Peel and devein shrimp(preferable leaving tail on), Wash in water and lemon juice, rinse and pat dry. In a bowl combine all the dry seasonings and mix well . Drizzle 1 tbsp olive oil onto shrimp and later well, coating all the shrimp on both sides. Heat remaining olive oil on medium heat, add the butter, when the butter melts, brown shrimp for 2 minutes on each sides. When done set aside, in the same pan add onions, garlic and scotch bonnet , stir well to combine and cook for 2 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients and stir well to combine, bring to a low boil, and cook for minutes, add the shrimp, cover and cook on low for 10 minutes. Turn off the heat and drizzle with lemon juice.
