My story ( Short Version)

I was merely 21 years old and 5 months pregnant when I suffered a massive stroke, that left me paralyzed on my left side, and not only was I pregnant but I also had a three-year-old toddler. For the thirty days I spent in the hospital all I heard was how I was not supposed to be alive still, ( I had a temperature of 106) they kept saying they do not know how I was still alive, or how my son was and they would go on to say he would not be ok if he made it out alive, my son then came at a whole 12 weeks early and so again I had to deal with those doctors amongst themselves about all the issues he was expected to have. Please understand the 31 days I spent in the hospital was alone as did the time I was in labor and giving birth. My son only spent a mere 9 days in the hospital after. I 0went back to work before recovering from the stroke because I had to, I had no help emotionally, physically, or financially and no I am not complaining. All I know is I did what had to be done and kept a roof over our heads, food on the table, and clothes on our backs. It was difficult, but one thing I knew was hard work. There were times I fell asleep on the bus coming home from work and would go to numerous stops from mine. Burt guess what I made it and I am stronger for it

I learned from that situation that God is truly always with me and that yes, I can do all things through him who strengthens me. I also learn that we are so much stronger than we think or know. This brings me to the scripture, Greater is he that is in us than he that is in the world.

 

 

Coping mechanisms for moms
