Intant pot Beef Short Ribs

This Instant Pot Beef Short Ribs recipe transforms a traditionally slow-cooked favorite into an easy weeknight or special occasion meal without sacrificing any of the deep, savory taste.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 lbs beef short ribs
  • 1 ½ tsp salt black pepper, sweet paprika, Debbies Caribbean soul spice
  • 2 tsp onion powder garlic powder, smoked paprika,
  • 2 tsp combination ground herb seasonings dried thyme dried rosemary, dried oregano, dried marjoram
  • 1 tbsp spicy green seasoning
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 cup homemade beef broth low sodium
  • 1 cup canned diced tomato in sauce
  • 6 tbsp olive oil divided 4n2
  • ½ stick of butter
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 4 sprigs fresh thyme
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 6 whole allspice berries
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 3 carrots peeled and cut into desired sizes
  • 1 can butter beans

Method
 

  1. Remove excess fat from meat, wash with water and vinegar, rinse and drain well, later with 2 tbsp olive oil and seasoned well with all the dry seasonings. Set aside and marinade at least 1 hour. In a skillet , heat remaining olive oil and brown each pieces of meat for 3 minutes on each sides. Put brown meat into Instant Pot and saute onions and garlic in the same skillet. Pour over meat in the Instant Pot, add the green seasoning, add bay leaves, allspice berries, tomatoes, fresh thyme, fresh rosemary, butter, hoisin sauce, oyster sauce , pour beef broth in the container the meat was seasoned in and swoosh it around to get all the goodness up, pour onto meat. Cover Instant Pot and cook on meat stew settings for 45 minutes, then let the steam out, and remove the lid stir well, add the carrots, and butter beans, cover and use manual settings and cook for 20 minutes.
