Jerk Salmon and Shrimp Rasta Pasta

Jerk Salmon and Shrimp Rasta Pasta is a creamy, bold Caribbean-inspired pasta dish featuring perfectly seasoned jerk salmon

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ cups uncooked penne pasta or past a of choice
  • ½ lb. salmon cut into two pieces
  • 10-12 large shrimps peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup grated smoked gouda or any other preferred cheese
  • 1 ½ tbsp spicy jerk marinade
  • 1 tsp salt onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, sazon, old bay seasoning and lemon pepper seasoning
  • ½ tsp Debbie’s soul spice
  • Additional pinch of garlic powder onion powder, sazon , old bay and lemon pepper seasoning ( For Sauce )
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • Cup of pasta water after you cook pasta
  • 4 tbsp olive oil divided 3 n1
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Juice from ½ lemon

Method
 

  1. In a bowl combine 1 tbsp jerk marinade and all the dry seasonings blend and mix well to combine. Wash peeled and deveined shrimp, wash salmon, pat dry both the shrimp and the salmon. Lay on a large plate, drizzle 1 tbsp olive onto them, then season well with combinate jerk and season blend. Set aside, in the meantime, bring salted water to boil for pasta. Cook for pasta for 7 minutes, then drain. Heat remaining 3 tbsp of olive oil on medium heat, brown salmon for 3 -4 minutes on each side, set aside and brown shrimp for 2 minutes on each side remove and add butter to the pan, add minced garlic and remaining ½ tbsp jerk marinade, saute for 2 minutes, add heavy whipping cream and pasta water, bring t a low boil and season with pinch of seasoning mix. Add cheese and stir well to combine, when sauce thickens to desired consistency add pasta in and stir well to combine, add in shrimp and stir well cook for 8 minutes . Ad Salmon on top after plating . Drizzle fresh lemon juice on top
