Shrimp Stir Fry

This colorful Shrimp Stir-Fry is loaded with tender shrimp, crisp broccoli, carrots, onions, and bell peppers, all tossed in a rich, savory-sweet homemade sauce. Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb. large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 medium carrots peeled and cut into desired sizes
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 4 Garlic cloves z9minced)
  • 1 onion diced
  • Pinch of fresh ginger grated
  • ½ of a small red and green onion diced
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp salt white pepper, smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder,
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce low sodium
  • 1 tsp fish sauce
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 4 tbsp water
  • 2 tbsp and 1 tsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • 1 tbsp Chaoxiang cooking wine or white wine vinegar

Method
 

  1. In a bowl add all the dry seasonings and mix well to combine. Wash shrimp and pat dry, drizzle with 1 tsp olive oil and season with combination season blend, leaving about 1 tsp behind. Cover and marinade shortly, in the meantime in a bowl, combine all the liquid ingredients, adding the cornstarch and remaining 1 tsp of seasoning blend and mix well, set aside. In a skillet heat the 1 tbsp olive oil, slightly brown shrimp for 2 minutes on each side. Do this in batches of 2, set aside, in the same skillet add the butter, the garlic, ginger, onion , bell peppers and sauté for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, add the carrots stir well to combine, cook for 2 minutes, add the broccoli and stir well to combine. Remove all the sauté vegetables and set aside. Add the liquid and cornstarch mixture and bring to a low boil stirring constantly, add the sauté vegetables in and stir well to combine, cook for 6 minutes , then add the shrimp in and cook for 5 minutes.
